Vion FKM Furth im Wald GMBH
Furth im Wald processes mainly meat from Simmental cattle. Around 65,000 animals are slaughtered yearly, with up to 80 % coming from the local area. With a strong foothold in South-East Bavaria, the continuously expanding plant supplies six brand meat lines. It employs its own salaried staff exclusively. It supplies other Vion sites and further large cutting plants, as well as traditional butchers. The export share lies at 35 to 40 %. The goods destined for abroad go primarily to Italy, France, Spain, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
