Founded in 1972, Süd­fleisch Bam­berg GmbH is located right next to the city’s abattoir and boasts strong regional business. Every week on behalf of Vion, around 1000 cattle are slaughtered, and are sorted and cut up at Südfleisch Bamberg. The beef goes to butchers and restaurant and catering business in the region, to Vion cutting plants, and abroad.
